On 30th September 2025, Karnataka Tourism is conducting a roadshow in Seoul, South Korea which aims to engage South Korean travel industry particpants like tour operators, journalists, and travel agents to market Karnataka as a center of tourism. It seeks to consolidate the position of Karnataka in the Asian market through its abundance in culture, nature, and wildlife.
Mysuru, renowned for its palaces and cultural heritage, will also be a key highlight of the presentations. Karnataka’s craft traditions, from intricate stone carvings to silk weaving, will be showcased as part of the state’s rich cultural fabric.
The roadshow will introduce South Korean attendees to Karnataka’s stunning landscapes. The Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its biodiversity and trekking routes, will be presented as an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts. The Karavali Coast, with its scenic beaches and vibrant coastal traditions, will appeal to those seeking a mix of relaxation and adventure.
Wildlife enthusiasts will be drawn to Karnataka’s national parks, such as Nagarahole, Bannerghatta, and Kabini. These parks offer safari experiences and provide a glimpse into the state’s dedication to conservation efforts. Karnataka’s national parks are home to a variety of species, making it a must-visit for eco-tourism and wildlife lovers.
Karnataka’s culinary heritage will also feature prominently in the roadshow. From the aromatic filter coffee to Mysore Pak and the iconic masala dosa, attendees will discover Karnataka’s rich and varied food culture. The roadshow will also highlight the state’s lifestyle experiences, including the grandeur of the Mysuru Dasara festival, an important cultural event.
Participants will learn how Karnataka seamlessly blends its historical richness with vibrant local traditions and modern wellness offerings. The state offers a wide range of wellness and spiritual experiences, making it a perfect destination for travelers seeking rejuvenation and cultural immersion.
The roadshow is designed as a B2B networking platform, offering travel trade professionals from South Korea the opportunity to engage with Karnataka’s tourism officials and industry representatives. This is in line with the preferences of South Korean and Japanese travelers, who are drawn to unique, culturally rich, and nature-oriented experiences.
Senior officials from Karnataka Tourism, including the Commissioner of the Department of Tourism, will lead the delegation. Representatives from key tourism entities such as Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd. will also be part of the delegation.
