We stop to stretch our legs and enjoy morning tea

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell, Victoria 3269 Australia

We take time to admire the amazing Limestone stack formations with minimal other tourists around, also if you are keen to take to the skies and add a helicopter ride over the Apostles on to your experience then this is the tour for you!

Taking your time to walk along the boardwalks and capture perfect photos of the Twelve Apostles in the morning sun is just breathtaking.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Loch Ard Gorge, Great Ocean Road Port Campbell National Park, Victoria 3269 Australia

Also in the National Park we head down to Loch Ard Gorge, site of one of Australia’s most well know shipwrecks, hear the dramatic tale of Tom and Eva. Take time to walk down on to the beach and get the sand in-between your toes, or walk out over the top of the Gorge and find the Island Archway and Razorback rock formations.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Maits Rest Rainforest Walk, Great Ocean Rd, Cape Otway VIC 3233, Australia

We then depart just as other tour buses start to arrive, we head Eastward along the Great Ocean Road, coming inland we drive through towering Eucalyptus trees until we arrive at a patch of Cool Temperate Rainforest. You will be amazed at the difference in scenery as we take a walk through the tree ferns and, marvel at the ‘ancient relics’ – the Myrtle Beach trees that provide perfect canopy shade and originate from when Australia was part of a super continent known as Gondwanaland. Breath in the fresh air before we take a relaxing drive out to the dramatic Shipwreck Coast!

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Wye River, Wye River, Victoria

Along the journey we will be making stops to look for Koalas hanging out in the wild, as they are exactly that, wild, we cannot guarantee where they will show up, but our knowledgeable guides know all the best spots to search for them.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway, Great Ocean Rd 689/721 Great Ocean Rd, Lorne, Victoria Australia

A monument to mark the original starting point of the Great Ocean Road.

After some photos at the iconic Memorial Arch and a lesson on the history of the soldiers who built this road and dedicated it to their fallen comrades, we will wind through more stunning views (of course stopping for pictures!)

My friend and I did this tour on our second day in Australia (both in our late 20s). We both had such a fantastic day and were lucky that the sunshine came out for us as well during the day. We had Tim (with long hair - there were two Tims!) as our guide and we couldn't have asked for better. Such a friendly and knowledgeable guy, absolutely loved his stories and facts throughout the day and how his playlist linked in with the information he was telling us. We believe we actually ended up on the reverse tour by mistake as we had booked the standard one (we only realised half way through the day), however we felt lucky that there had been a mistake as we wouldn't have changed the day at all! The order of the day was perfect and it was good to avoid huge crowds for the Twelve Apostles. I felt so lucky to see wild koalas in Lorne (we weren't successful in seeing any in Noosa or Magnetic Island later on during our travels so felt even luckier we had managed to see them on this trip and so early on!). Loved the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge, had famous Dooleys ice cream in Apollo Bay.... Rainforest walk in Melba Gully State Park. Teddy's Lookout was good (lovely view of the road itself from a distance) and seeing the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch right at the end of the tour. We fit so much into the day, it was very worthwhile. Overall so happy that we decided to do this tour! I would love to go back in future.

The day was good...loved all we saw....driver was excellant... ...food supplied could have been better...had to share 1 spoon for sugar bowl...coffee cups ...needed to have more of them so people werent sharing 1 spoon...unsanitary.. Two packages of cheap cookies? Again...showed as cheap.

We booked this tour solely for the helicopter ride over the apostles. When the driver hadn't mentioned the helicopter rides at the apostles we asked when we were heading to the helicopter to be told we needed to prebook the helicopter ride or tell the driver 1st thing. At no time did Viator or the tour company mention this nor did the driver ask or mention this in the introduction. Extremely disappointed as this was the only reason we did this tour. Viator i would like someone to contact me.

Trip covered all the places wanted to see . Included lunch and morning tea. These were poor literature suggested a proper seated lunch sandwich sandwiches were handed out at back of bus to eat on a particular stop with no drink at all supplied morningbtea again a stop at side of road drinks from flasks and biscuits from a packet. Only public toilets available all day some unfit to use with a pandemic of corona virus existing. Bus was cramped 23 people in a small bus . Guide was pleasant and informative which at leased helped to make the trip worthwhile for the cost though disappointing in the detailed aspects above . Would hesitate to use group again

I'm a far cry from a morning person but have never been so content with an early rise. Our driver Duane did well in keeping our spirits high from start to finish, with interesting and witty commentary throughout. The stops en-route were undoubtedly beautiful, so I'm super stoked I opted to sit back and relax whilst someone else did all the hard yards driving so I could take in all the sights without the stiff drivers hands! Will be recommending this to all my mates visiting Melbs.

Despite the fact that the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed all the sights and the 12 Apostles. I think doing the reverse tour is much better, because you experience the 12 Apostles first and are therefore truly amazed by what the nature created. You also don’t have to spend 3 hours on the highway on your way back, where there is little to see or do. I think the quality of the tour may however vary depending on your guide. Our guide wasn’t particularly good at explaining what we were seeing and where we were going, and acted more as a driver only. This made the tour slightly less enjoyable, as it lacked that helpful local insight. If it weren’t for the amazing nature and the ocean, this tour would have been quite disappointing.

Well organised tour with a nice driver/guide. I had only one problem, the seat size as I’m 191 cm tall :o)

Brilliant from start to finish... although the weather could have been a wee bit kinder... but hey ho there are some things that you can organise and some things you can’t... prompt pick up... kept informed of what was happening throughout the day. Beth was very friendly and certainly knew her stuff... although it would seem that a 12 1/2 hour tour would be a long “drag” it never felt that way... highly recommend this trip
