"Iluka" backs onto the headland reserve at the top of the town with magnificent views of the sunset and the bush and water glimpses. From the back gate you have walking tracks going along the headland taking you to little known secluded beaches (great for snorkeling, reading or swimming) and ocean cliffs (for winter whale watching). "Iluka" has a completely screened balcony for bug-free evenings.
It is just a five minute walk from the front gate to everyone's favourite "Abraham's Bosom Beach" which is great for kids, swimming, kayaking and sunset picnics. Down the hill and over the estuary is a surf beach that goes for miles for surfing, walking, running, fishing or cycling. You can also easily access the treasure trove of unspoilt beaches in the Beecroft Naval Range on the undeveloped eastern shore of Jervis Bay - Honeymoon Bay, Long Beach, Bindijyne, Silica Cove and Target Beach. Currarong has a take away general store, seafood restaurant and Bowling Club. If you're able to make your own fun, then this town is the one for you!
