After visiting the Barossa for over a decade, Col and Fi Sheppard fell in love with the Barossa and made the move across from Melbourne in 2004.
The Flaxman Wines vineyard consists of six and a half acres of old Shiraz, Riesling and Semillon planted around 1929. All the vines are hand pruned, dry grown and hand picked by ourselves. Small parcels of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, Cabernet and Chardonnay are also purchased to add to the varieties in the Flaxman lineup.
A cellar door and small 16 seat restaurant is due to be opened towards the end of 2016....
